Forums - Sony Discussion - Gran Turismo 6 Review Thread (Drama!!)

That venture beat review was just a joke............dude sucked, should not review racing sims. Not surprised though, GT still has the bad AI, sounds, no damage, rolling starts.....game needs some changes.

Gt6 should have been on PS4 later with bigger improvements. Been saying that since 6 was announced.

The "Dude" is a woman..., but yeah one really has to wonder why she was chosen to review that type of game.

Forza 5 vs GT6. Less content than Forza 4, new system, better score.

or you can forget the other parts that make a good sim.

Like forza 5 having better sound, physics/handling, more detailed cars. but forget that right having those 800 japanese cars and shitty sound design since the ps2 era is more important.

Nothing you said was true.

jujs watched a review it looks amazing i cant wait till it arrives in the post, look how many tracks it has

Forza physics are not even close to GT6's.....................................The irony of your post is thick. What's more important, Sound or driving physics in a SIM?? Tracks, physics are vastly more important and GT has both in spades over forza. The only thing forza has is more customization and betetr graphics due to being on next gen.

In a SIM all things are important surely.  Good sound can lead to a more immersive and exciting experience obviously.

But you are right, the most important things are probably handling...... and opponent AI.

Bad AI makes the game dull or frustrating.

GT may well be the best driving sim, I wouldnt know (nor would you) it hasnt been tested yet, but it isnt the best racing sim, the AI is a bit of a joke.  A processions of cars in single file isnt exciting.

The problem with GT5 and now this is that it just isnt enough fun.  its a car sim.  Its a great driving sim... its just not a very good and fun game.

No good ai In any racing game, thats why you play online.................With friends or a good group, nothing beats that.  It isn't fun...for you.

Fixed.

OT: I expect it to round out at about 82-84. Not that Metacritic even matters for Gran Turismo games.

So you miss out the entire career?  like 90% of the game?

how do you figure that 90% figure?? Can play online for years.. I play SP to drive the cars, test out the physics, tracks..but when you want good racing, you race others. No racing game has realistic AI. People find GT fun, see sales. You do not equal the sole authority on what is fun and not.

People have tested gt6's physics going back to the demo, forza you can win almost all races without ever breaking, it is not even close in comparison.

You don't thinkk sims are fun but here you are commenting and saying how much better forza is... Is a sim more fun when you change the controler.

Oh boy. Some japanese developers better watch out and step up their game. At least after a handful of failed attempts and the resulting slaps to the face, Capcom and Squeenix seem to be moving on the right direction. Time for PD to do the same.

Forza has far better sound.  Anyone without an agenda would agree.  The sound in Forza is spectacular.

This coming from you is hilariously ironic.

The sound in Forza, like most games is waaay overblown at at times downright unrealistic, and it's that way because they know most gamers don't have sound systems other than the the speakers on their TV.
