Not in this case however. Wii is probably the most profitable console ever released (for Nintendo, not necessarily for third parties).

Wii was a one time success and did not succeed in keeping its userbase loyal to nintendo (Wii U is doomed ?)

So to me it's a failure on the long run.

How is there no agreement? Wii won. Math works. End of story.

This poll/discussion is impossible to have here. Too many PS 'fans' that refuse to accept what actually happened to the PS brand last gen.

Also finishing 3rd ISN'T being a loser. Wording things that way will cause fans of EVERY console to get defensive. As others have stated, this gen had 3 winners in various ways. IMO, things will never be that good again. :(

No, Xbox will be third AGAIN. Why? It is the ONLY console without a tablet or a PSVita for off TV play It's more focused on Multimedia/TV More Xbox One games are 720p. The 360 is already capable of this, lazy! While TV works fine as HDMI IN, games that aren't turn based RPG's are no good for this! It does NOT grant backwards compatibility with the Xbox 360. Tests show the console as slower. Nintendo has the best third party titles, while some like Grand Theft Auto, Battlefield, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Skyrim, Fallout, FIFA, Madden etc will steal the show, none of them do that well on the Wii U. Nintendo will always be known as the non-competing console, BUT has a library every PS/Xbox fan wants, unlike the Xbox where you can get Titanfall, and Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare on the PC, or Xbox 360.

You'll be smacking your head next year if you think that.   For third party titles, no, you're dead on.   And supposedly the Frostbite Engine doesn't work on the Wii U hence why no Battlefield 4.   Honestly I am sure EA wanted a cop out from releasing games.   Less crappy software on their platform, good job Nintendo!

 

Now, Rockstar Games, Take Two, and Bethesda, I would LOVE to see on the Wii U, will it ever happen?  I doubt it.

Just a couple months now the PS3 seems to be number 2.

MS saw a great rise in sales from the xbox to the 360.

So definitely Sony "lost" last generation.

No, one generation is totally different then the next.. It doesn;t carry over.

Can't agree on a winner? Every thread I've seen shows Wii winning last gen by a landslide.

If you can't admit Wii won last gen in sales and profits (only two things that matter to a business/market), then you are clearly out of touch with reality.

As for the loser, I'd have to say X360 as it was first, then second and now last.
