Forums - Gaming Discussion - Xbox One launch issues incoming?

Picked mine up this morning and waiting at the door was a midnight launch guy with his faulty Xbone , he got a replacement but talking to him he couldn't get past the xbox logo and tried to 4am .
when i turned mine on and after downloading and installing the update the same thing happened it stayed at the xbox logo , after waiting awhile I started to think I had the same problem , then I put a game in and bingo it did the start up.

Thats not very.... intuitive (for lack of a better word). What if you wanted to buy downloadable games or use the x1 features and get use to the interface. Do you think it was your system only?

Has anyone seen the description?

"Last week, prior to the PS4 release, the larger gaming media pounced on every report of a PS4 problem like rabid animals. This week, with the Xbox One coming out tomorrow, reports of issues with the system are generally being ignored."

Throws that "720p" thing in there.

Probably as sony fan going to extreme lengths to get a fail video for the xbox one.

It's not day one yet, how can you complain about a day one update? lets see if tis issue happens tomorrow.

Been released in Auadtralia for 10 hours >_>

Going by this guy's accent, I doubt he is in australia.

If he is, maybe MS isn't putting the update live globally until it's the 22nd in eastern time.

It's an Australian accent and I've had friend which have downloaded the update perfectly.

appears everything is coming back online

Don't think the press will be able to ignore any serious issues.

Apparently Azure (i.e the cloud) is currently down, and that means people cannot update their consoles, meaning their consoles are unusable until they fix it ...gah.

Issues are expected aren't they?

why would you expect to be able to update before the machine is actually officially launched?
