Dudebros are the new casuals

We reap what we sow

Doubtful. Although much resonable than the last time around, the price is too steep if you're only going to game every once in a blue moon and buy something like 1-2 games a year. You can handle that with the mobile offering on your phone that you already have in your pocket. Then again, who am I to judge? If you have the money to throw around on hardware that rarely sees any use, why not?

sony home consoles have always sold the most, im not sure why anyone would regard them as causal consoles.
its not like they attracted a lot of non-gamers / casual gamers by waving around the PS move is it?

Sure, why not. I would consider myself a casual, as I'm not playing more than an hour a day. I just don't have more time. Got to work, got to take care of my son. I can be very happy if I get to play some games at all. In that time, I don't want to mess around with motion controls, be it Kinect or whatever. I don't want to talk to my console while my sons sleeps, would just wake him up. I just want to play some games and that's it. The PS4 is perfect for that. I also really like dat 3.5 mm jack on the DS4. That way, I can plug in my headphones without a problem. On the PS3 I had to use three adapters to use my headphones using the analog out. But since the new consoles don't have an analog out anymore, that won't work Next-Gen. My TV doesn't have a hedaphone jack, so with the Xbox One, I'd be pretty much screwed. Or I would have to play without sound.

So it's PS4 all the way for me. Maybe in two years, when my son is older and goes to the Kindergarten, I'm gonna get myself an Xbox. I just have to have them all, I can't resist. Love gaming too much even if I don't have much time for it anymore. But yeah, in the end, I became a casual, I guess. No more playing all night, no more weekends spent at a friend only playing games. It's all over. Just a little gaming here and there. And you know what really pisses me off? Games with too long cutscenes that you can't skip. Man, one time I had an hour to play and guess what happens, I had to look at a nearly 20 min cutscene! Yeah, thanks for that, next time I'm just gonna watch a movie. Back in the days, you popped in a cartridge and got right into the game. No bullshit story, just gameplay. You could even skip those silly logos of developers, publishers and everyone else who was or wasn't part of development. I mean, it would be ok if I could skip it. But why force people to watch that crap? Seriously.

Whoops, got a little off topic, I guess. The PS4 will be as much casual as the PS2 was casual, if you ask me.
