Btw, can someone enlighten me, how demanding are 8k textures?

A few other details Shin'en have dropped on twitter:

- As well as running at 60fps, the game will be V-synced to eliminate all screen tearing.

- Since Nano Assault Neo they have upgraded their Wii U engine to deferred rendering.

- Due to 4k-8k textures it will be 16x the size of the original Fast Racing League, so around 640MB.

- They are working on another Wii U game as well, hinted to be a new Art of Balance.

Anything far above 4k is not so feasible on 360/PS3 because of the comparatively limited memory.

Do PS360 even use 2k?  I mean the PC version of GTA5 will support 2k textures.

Skyrim (not the best game to talk about here I know) has low res textures on consoles and has higher texture resolution on PC. But even the PC textures look like shit compared to 2K.

Bethesda's additional HD DLC (not vanilla texture)                    the right one is 2k.

I haven't heard of a PS3/360 game that uses 4k textures. There may be some 2k textures in certain games.
