The Internet is dominated by Sony fans. There's just no point in making a thread mocking the Ps4. Sony fans would punch, kick, shoot and bribe their way to make mods close those threads.

Any mods willing to post their impressions ?

Sony always had hardware issues with their home console launch systems. It doesn't surprise me that it would happen again.

In fairness, the evidence that this is some massively widespread thing is fairly sketchy, yes, there have definitely been failures but for now I think most people are going to wait and see - if it remains confined to a minority of launch units and Sony get them replaced ASAP, then I think we can put it down to post-RROD paranoia and people having immediate access to social media and amazon reviews to bitch and vent their (understandable) disappointment. Given how costly RROD was to MS, I doubt Sony will let this get too far out of hand even if it does turn out to be something major

Anyhow, after RROD and YLOD, everyone knows any console can have failure.

The debate over the PS4 hardware failure rate hasn't been completely without heat between fans of different companies on the forum, but it hasn't become out of control. Hopefully it will stay this way as we get more reliable data regarding the failure rates.

So do you confirm it is less heated than expected or just as expected. I am very curious about this as other forums seem quite heated in comparison to VGChartz.

I'm quite satifsied with the level of heat that arose from this issue on VGChartz, especially when comparing to other sites, as you said. The console launch as a whole has probably been calmer than I expected, but this debate is only going to be the first of many battles, I feel. 

My friend on Facebook "tried" to mock it but I shut his ass down. Like "of course, Consoles gonna have issues when they first launch." Then he was like "You're still supporting them?" I told him why not because the RROD on the Xbox 360 and it did stop people from buying another 360. Then he went on to say "we'll wait and see."
