I am really undecided right now about cancelling my preorder. PS4 consumes way too much power right now, it has some issues reported on GAF, there is close to no game of interest to me (thanks DriveClub) and all this for 400€? Guess I will first upgrade my TV and clear my backlog on 360...

Let me help you. If you don't cancel your preorder, then you only confirm to yourself that you are a super fanboy. You'll only be buying the thing to look less biased (but you are totally biased), because there is no good reason for you to own a PS4.

So don't be a fanboy and cancel your preorder.

Wait, what? I really think it's better right now to not buy *any* next-gen console - perhaps a WiiU to be honest for its unique existing and upcoming games.

Of course I couldn't care less if someone calls me biased

I'll hold you to that. If I see you posting that you bought a PS4 in 2013, then I'll call you a fanboy.

Ok, it'll be hard but I swear I won't. Mögen mir sonst die Hände abfallen.

That's always the case with every launch, but some of these guys have had their consoles since 05/06, so for them the upgrade couldn't come sooner. I only got my PS3 at the end of 2011 since I avoided gaming in undergrad, so for me this gen is still fresh. The leap from the launch titles is good enough to satisfy them. Plus, next year is looking great for those consoles software wise, and it is highly unlikely we'll see a price drop for either, so if they have the financial means to secure them now then I see little reason to abstain (given what was divulged).

I decided to wait since there are often little issues associated with launch apart from console failure. I'd like for them to iron that out first (which is usually done in the first 6 months or so), and I want to address my PS3 backlog first.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

Infinite lives? ?If so, all is fine then. :)

From what I saw, yes. Has checkpoints too.

The reviewers must have just REALLY sucked.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Let's say because... those consoles actually have a future? Everything doesn't come down to the launch line-up.

I got it since I use it as a BD player. And the PS4 is better at that. The PS3 was bad. Since it constantly had to check the res and change it during file/menu loads.

I don't get this I don't believe in buying at launch!! How's that going to help the company, if everyone had that mindset the consoles would end up discontinued.

Resogun is enough for me to want a PS4.

Still have to get the money tough.

I don't think the lineup is "shitty", btw. You can't just follow reviewers without even trying.

Sure but why buy now? There will be new hardware revisions and the prices will get cut, too. There is no system seller right now for either PS4 or Xbone.

I agree, I've got a PS4, Xone on the way but the launch lineups a much worse IMO than the WiiU's launch lineup. I guess I just got them because I'm a gamer, but I haven't ordered any games for either PS4/Xone, as none interest me. I bought my WiiU with NSMBU and ZombiU.

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.
