Edit - Well my full name is Edmárcio Thomaz Henrique Pinheiro dos Santos but I use E (Edmárcio) Thomaz here.

I came up with mine in college. I was a Computer Science major (Binary) and a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity (Delt). Kind of bro-ish and outdated for my now being 31, but I've used it for so long.

Jesus thats some type of name. I googled ethomaz and came up with a twitter account for Edison Thomaz but he was a phd student in Georgia so I didn't think it was you lol.

When I created my twitter both nickname "ethomaz" and "edmarcio" were already in use... so I used _edmarcio (https://twitter.com/_edmarcio)... I don't like the _ but it worked.

I was playing Wild ARMs 4 at the time I started World of Warcraft.  Kresnik was the coolest character in that game; so I named my first character in WoW "Kresnik".

4 years later, he'd been my main the whole time and I was used to people on the internet calling me "Kresnik".  So when it came to signing up for a new forum where people on the internet would be talking to me, it seemed logical to use it again.

It's not my real name.  But I used to get asked all the time in WoW and even occassionally on here if I'm from Ukraine/Serbia etc.
