When I remember my PS1 collection, this news gets especially sad, and now they seem to be taking Eidos down with them.

well... as long they still do projects like ff15 from time to time i'm ok with it. i'm not interested in smart phone or f2p games but hey... if they can generate some money with it to back up their more ambitious project, why not?

I'm actually starting to think that SE announces this stuff just to give me, as a thread maker, new glorious info to create new threads about them..

EA has competition for worst company of the year.

its a shame that SE has so much IPs that people want to c plenty from ps1 and ps2 days but yet they insist on doing shit like 3 ff13s and that garbage ios game they did with all the ff characters !! this whole generation has been a let down for me with few shinnin spots Star ocean and ff14 . Edios has done great imo although not meeting SE ridiculous sales target! but I really am hope that SE gets some guidance cause I love mu jprgs and I don't know wat I will do without the ips and company that got me in to gaming

What I feel about all of this.

Look at their upcoming releases - still plenty of console games.

C'mon.. aren't we overreacting.. it's not like SE hasn't prepared us properly for this... they have eased this in for years..

Why so many worries? They will still release final fantasy xv(and sequels), drakengard 3, kingdom hearts 3, tomb raider 2. Square-Enix was destroyed by ambition, by the final fantasy creator, that wanted to make movies. And so they did Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within and almost went bankrupt. They struggle since that time with ups and downs. We have to celebrate that Square ( with Enix) is still alive.
