It was a really good Direct, but nothing, NOTHING for the Wii U was announced. I actually lost more hope in it.

Wii U News: February 13, 2014

Nintendo Direct

• Here's a link to the Nintendo Direct in case you missed it.
• A new Super Smash Bros 4 trailer confirmed that Little Mac of Punch-Out fame would be entering the ring. The game is still an ambiguous "2014" release.
• NES Remix 2 was announced. Coming on April 25, this colletion will feature latter NES games than in the original collection, as well as "Super Luigi Bros," the original Super Mario Bros horizantally flipped with Luigi as the star.
• Indie games got a spotlight this Nintendo Direct. Look forward to Shovel Knight on the Wii U next month.
• Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is still coming out in a week.
• Game Boy Advance games are coming to the Wii U Virtual Console this spring. Mentioned titles included Metroid Fusion and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.
• Mario Kart 8 had a new trailer, confirming that the Koopalings would be playable racers. The game is coming out May 30.
• "X" had some new gameplay footage. It was similar to Xenoblade, but with mechs. It was epic.
• Bayonetta 2 had a new trailer confirming its 2014 release date.

Other News

• Here's a video of the final boss and ending of Tropical Freeze! According to YouTube commenters, I'm the only person who likes it...
• Stick it to the Man is coming to the Wii U this spring.
• According to the NPD, the Wii U is doing better so far this year than in 2013.
• Sonic Boom is a fountain of memes

Well, it certainly could have been a worse Direct, that's for sure. I was just waiting for that "one" thing, though and it never happened.

Alas, not the end of the world! The games shown were good, and X looks awesome.

Smash Bros was awesome to see, Little Mac is a good addition
Whilst the DK trailer was cool I still have 0 interest in the game
3DS junk went on forever, none of the games shown interest me in the slightest... unless that Pokemon game comes with an unlockable event pokemon in XY. Oh and MonHun in 2015
X gameplay was meh, yes analysis vids of it will be fun to watch but in the direct itself it was slow and boring to watch
Bayonetta had a nice trailer which is cool, im slightly interested in it but no release date or release window outside of it being 2014 was a bit of a let down
GBA VC on WiiU... why not 3DS?? oh well
Mario Kart 8... the Koopalings, ok nothing cool but its not a negative I guess. May 30 -_- FUCK YOU
Last point. While I like the ideas with the 3DS games like freemium and wtf do I call there strategy with the baseball game, the games themselves aren't intresting

Nintendo Direct

• Here's a roundup!
• Yoshi's New Island has very similar stuff. Tones of transformations, and some new eggs. Releases on March 14th.
• Mario Golf: World Tour gets a new single-player mode, also, you can customize your Mii. Launches on May 2nd.
• A lot of collectibles are found in Kirby Triple Deluxe, and it has a Streetpass feature. We knew about everything else. Also on May 2nd! 
• Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy... on February 28th!
• MH4U has online gameplay, releases in early 2015.
• Steel Drivers available NOW and for free. 
• Inazume Eleven is ALSO RELEASED NOW!
• A new Pokemon puzzle game was announced. It'll release on March 20th.
• A game were you manage a weapon shop, called Weapon Shop de Omasse, launches on February 20th (huh).
• Rusty's Real Deal Baseball is a demo. The cool thing is, you can purchase other games through it and they cost $4, buuuuuut, you can make the price go lower. It releases on April.

Other Stuff

• Sakurai explains why Japanese games take longer to release, and he still has some pain.
• And Nintendo gets money.

Has anyone downloaded the Steel Diver game? want to hear some opinions before downloading it myself.

Also Inazuma is kinda expensive imo...I mean it looks fun but I don't see myself paying $20 for the game.
