Nintendo news of 28/01/2015: This feels like part of my every night now...

• Media Create: Last week, the 3DS sold 35k units and the Wii U (didn't boost with a new release and) fell to 7k units; things are looking bad for the Wii U in Japan. No new releases until April. The Legend of Legacy (3DS) sold 54k units (which btw should be the biggest opening for that series) and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse sold 32k units, both new releases. Lower are YW2.5 with 32k units, Pokemon ORAS with 17k units, MH4G with 12k, SSB3DS with 10k, SSBU with 9k, and Mario Kart 8 with 5k.
• Well this is something. Nintendo just released a "Nintendo Creators Program"; a service for Youtubers to, well, get paid by making videos with Nintendo games! It's still a beta. 
• Nintendo released today their financial results, and they look good (not great ((except for Amiibo)). I'm not the guy for these things, but I'll do my best. For the third quarter of the Fiscal Year 15, Nintendo made a Net Income (this is what they care about, right?) of 45.215 billion yen, and for the full FY 15 they made a net income of 30 billion yen (up from last year). LTD sale numbers for a lot of games were released... Pokemon ORAS is at 9.35 million units, SSB3DS at 6.19 million units + SSBU at 3.39 million units which puts Sm4sh at 9.58 million units! Mario Kart 8 (which became Wii U's top game) is at 4.77 million, Nintendo Land at 4.44 million, 3D World at 3.79 million, Pokemon X/Y at 13.7 million, Mario Kart 8 at 11.42 million, NSMB2 at 9 million, Animal Crossing: NL at 8.73 million, Tomodachi Life at 3.96 million, and Kirby Triple Deluxe at 1.70 million. Nintendo has shipped 3 million Wii U and 7 million 3DS during FY 15, and during Q3 they shipped 1.91 million Wii U's and 4.99 million 3DS. LTD sale numbers are 9.2 million for Wii U and 50.44 million for 3DS. Amiibo reached 5.7 million units worldwide! And Lastly, digital sales brought 10.4 billion yen to Nintendo.

• Iwata says "no Nintendo games on Smartphones" and "Wii U is not over yet" with many unannounced games to come!

I'll help out a bit with the profits numbers part :) The profit for the full Fiscal Year is still unknown, since there is still 1 quarter left before their fiscal year ends, that 30 billion yen thing is their profit prediction for the Fiscal Year, meanwhile during the first 3 quarters of their fiscal year, they have gained 59.5 billion yen, which should be around 506 million dollars, with 45.215 billion yen, pertainin specifically to Q3.
