Mario Kart 8 sold 1.7 million units in the US. Smash 1.3 million. And Amiibo around twice of SSBU (I'm severely impressed). That's as of 2014!

I can't read Japanese but I think it is saying that on NicoNico (a website similar to Justin TV and Twitch) the will be another stream concerning Pokken, I'm sure the Arcade version is said to be out late 2015 not the date on the image. In regards to a Wii U port I think it's a given tbh.

Ah, my mistake. My Japanese is rather limited as far as reading goes, (damn kanji!) so I just seized on the date.

Amiibo selling twice as much as Smash in the US means that, on average, every person that picked up Smash also picked up 2 amiibo figures. That is very impressive. I think Nintendo was smart for connecting them to such a popular game to start with.

Yeah, their functionality may not have been amazing in Smash Bros. but launching them with a game that will sell anyway was probably a good idea. I know I only got one out of curiosity along with Smash, but I probably wouldn't have bought any if it was a whole separate game that required them (unless it looked like an amazing game). Hopefully their use in Mario Party 10 and some future games making extensive use of them, along with the steady trickle of bonuses like Hyrule Warriors and Kirby, can keep them selling once the initial craze is over.
