Exclusives though....
Seriously over half my collection I couldn't get on PC

Eventually your entire collection will be on PC in time and look better than it did origionally.

legally?  Uncharted, Infamous, Killzone, LBP, Sly, Ratchet, Jak, Crash, Spyro, and such will all be on PC legally?

Emulating is legal, provided you own the origional media.

Link to PS3 emulator?

Oh wait.

By the time there's a working PS3 emulator that's feasible mobile chips will have gained substantial ground over standard chips, and seeing as premier mobile chips are placed in smartphones by then I'd be able to play the games there.

Also I can emulate everything but PS2 games on my smartphone, so please stop parading around like emulation is a PC exclusive. Also, are we forgetting about Gakai steaming service and such forth?

All you pro-PC posts ignore a ton of console perks and PC flaws

That is also what most pro conosole fans do,  mentioning the higher price of PC hardware but no word about the higher software prices of console games.

I never stated emulation was PC exclusive.
People claim they will stick with the Playstation for exclusives and I pointed out the fact, that eventually, the PC will get *all* those exclusives, I never said that was a PC only feature and I did state eventually, i.e. Not right now.
With that said, there are Emulator developers working on a PS3 emulator, probably several years away yet though.

Please don't take my post out of context and twist it around to suit your own agenda.

That's a myth, unfortunately.

Depends on the country.

Already there man... Valve got me with Steam. Also, I need higher specs anyway because I am a 3D artist in training.

I still support Nintendo though.

A PS3 emulator is so far off it's laughable. Hell, it's 2013 and PCSX2 isn't even perfect yet, and the PS3's Cell is much harder to emulate than the emotion engine.

So sure they'll eventually come to PC, but when, ten years after they were released? If someone enjoys consoles for their exclusives why would they wanna wait that long, and to boot emulation has to deal with glitches, non-compatible games and so forth. It simply isn't a viable replacement and the fact you're proposing it as an alternative is absurd.

It is an alternative, just like your phone is an alternative, whether that alternative is worth the time and effort really is up to the individual.

Logically no one would use that alternative if their only reason for picking consoles is exclusives. Sorry if I came off as aggressive, but your post came off as misleading to misinformed people, in my opinion.

ps4 will be £399 - you will never come this november be able to build a full PC tha offers as much as a ps4 does, in a few years you possibly could do but definitely not now

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Nope.

Haven't upgraded my PC since 2010 and it would cost a few times more than $400 to do what I would consider to be a proper upgrade with respect to performance, which is the primary argument for gaming on PC.

$400 with respect to PC gaming would buy me a good VGA card. I could leave the upgrades at that and enjoy far better graphical performance for games that are published for Windows, but as someone who uses a Mac as their primary PC, the Windows PC isn't used by default for anything currently. It's almost never turned on with the rare exception of when I want to play some games on Steam. So, it would only be used for PC gaming. Not something I do often enough for a $400 upgrade.

The PS3 is still my default HDTV media box in addition to games so it sees regular use anyway. The PS4 will simply supplement and eventually replace it once I transition off of PS3 games and will eventually become my default media box.

I still wouldn't be able to play PS3 or PS4 exclusives on the PC with a $400 VGA card upgrade, or even the proper $1,200 new build I'd prefer to put together.

I have a gaming PC but I really only use it for exclusives.
