PS4 wins 6-4, though Xbox One wins in the most important areas - Launch Games and Controller. All in all pretty even as expected.

We aint gonna see the major differences 'till 12-18 Months down the line.

first party studios isn't important?

EDIT: Also aren't "Media and Services" and "Social Services" kinda the same?  They're talking about non gaming apps right?

Social Services will include things like messaging, talking to friends, stuff like that. Media and Services would be their store and online gaming service no doubt. I'd guess anyway.

Edge is also a terrible magazine so I don't think anything they say hold ground.

Do you read it often? I didn't realise Canadians got it. Seems Edge is more successful than I thought.

Hmm, pie.

I'm surprised about the controller too, I was thinking dualshock 4 would be the winner

i have no idea how anybody could say the X1 controller is better when it still uses the AA batteries. but oh well.

The 360 controllr used batteries but was far better then the PS3 one imo and the opinion of most neutral observers.

But this is what I expect from this kind of thread.  They are right on the PS4 wins but wrong on the ONE wins right?

The reality is if you delve into this its a pretty poor piece of work.  The cloud part is hilariously weak.

why is the cloud part hilariously weak? this is what i expect from this kind of thread, they are right when the X1 wins and wrong when the PS4 wins.

the reality is that the full article isnt out, and we just have the results, i have stated why i think the X1 controller shouldnt win as it uses AA batteries, which i really havent used in anything in literally years outside of flashlights, not having a built in rechargable battery is a huge draw back. however you just state that xbox one should win on the cloud features because... well.. you just assume microsoft has better gaming cloud services because they offer non gaming cloud services else where.

Can you point out to me where I say MS shoud win the cloud section?    You cant, because I dont.

I am saying to call a winner on cloud services when neither has any cloud services up and running proplerly yet is fucking moronic.

doesn't stop Xbox users from claiming Live will be a better online experience already.

Yet you seemed more than willing to trust those same morons with telling you that the controller and launch games were better. Interesting.

Not when theyre a) both relatively weak at launch and b) we have no idea what theyre working on. Remember, Sony 1st party are split between 2 platforms and Microsoft have funded a fair few new studios.

The 1st party studios will be a more important factor 12-18 Months from now when we have a vague idea what we will be getting.

Why would I read it if I find it terrible?

we already know Driveclub, The Order, and Infamous compared to Titanfall (likely timed) in the Spring.  That's launch window.  Besides like I said in this thread MS already announced they'll have at most 15 first party games in the first year (at most=that's what they announced at Xbox One reveal so there could be delays) while Sony said at E3 they'll have at most 20 first party games in the first year (same note about at most).
