Best to watch the Killzone story trailer this way. Better fidelity than Youtube.

What the fudge? Is this her?

LOL wtf happened?

The image on top is a bit misleading. In the trailer you can tell there is a lot of light on her face by the way the shadows move across it. So in that shot it makes the model quality look poor when it isn't. A lot of light on an already pale face is a messy combination. The image on the bottom is a  somewhat doctored promotional image. Like some of the Forza images from a long time ago of the cars by themselves that people were trying to say was in-game.

By people do you mean Guerrilla Games? Because they said the models were in-game but they are clearly much lower quality in-game.

You asked. I explained. Nothing I said was inaccurate. Just pointing out that companies do that kind of thing to hype the game up and I used an example of one that I was very familiar with. Lower quality? I agree. MUCH lower quality? Download the trailer at the link I posted if you haven't already. The game isn't that far off the mark from those old promotional images.

atleast people aren't comparing gifs. :)

Here's how it works, the image probably wasn't doctored at all (the promotional). When you render an image, depending on the program, it cleans a lot of things up on its own. However, with the comparison here, it's not efficient at all, because the quality of the two is so far different, comparing them is quite useless.

The only real way to do is to compare them, with like-for-like situations, and in the same resolution.

It doesn't change the fact that it's a promotional image that clearly isn't what it will look like in-game. Maybe with a higher resolution but the game is running in 1080p. It's the same situation with Forza 5. They released images to promote the game showing cars in stunning pictures but then we see the actual in-game look and it's not the same. Companies just do that and I've come to accept that until I see the game in action, anything prior to that is most likely a bullshot.

That comparison is hardly indicative of that. If we had a high-res image of both, with the same outcome, I could then see that conclusion being drawn. It's the exact same situation as Forza 5. People compared high-res, rendered photos to shitty screen caps. How can that be taken seriously?

Please. There are other models (even those in the same scene) from the video that are higher quality than that of the female character. It looks much worse than the shots GG released as in-game. But oh well, thanks to whoever replied confirming it is actually the same person. Wonder what happened. Not going to beat a dead horse over it, toodles.

Can't believe killzone's are not in the same level since the ps4 is 50% more powerful.

Ryse>Killzone>Cyrsis 3

All the games look pretty damn good but Ryse looks amazing. Graphicly that game is incredible!

A lot of factors go into game development and how good the games look beyond the hardware. Facial animations are not a strong suit for Guerrilla Games. Never have been. Everything else about the game looks outstanding (besides the rain drops) and quite possibly the best looking console launch title overall. As far as the whole "PS4 is 50% more powerful"... the 50% part is the GPU supposedly. True or not, the system's performance is more than the GPU so unless the RAM and CPU are also 50% greater, which they are not, and the system architecture is set up to be 50% more efficient, which I don't believe it is, there is no way the PS4 is 50% more powerful. That whole thing got out of hand by ignorant fanboys on both sides. Someone said "50% more..." and some morons ran with it before they let them finish.
