This new PlayStation ad is nostalgia overload

I remember getting my first PlayStation, all the way back in the 1995 holidays – I got the thing with Tekken, Wipeout and Ridge Racer, and played all three of them until my eyes bled. This UK-specific video detailing the history of PlayStation since 1995 pretty much captures those magical moments – and beyond – quite spectacularly.

It ends, of course, with the PlayStation 4 and its pretty damned amazing boot sound. I’ve been contemplating axing my PS4 pre-order recently..and now, I’m not sure I can. There are new memories to forge.

lol, kind of makes me wish i had switched over to sony earlier as ps3 was my first sony console. 

but i've got to say,. sony's marketing for ps4 has already been leaps and bounds better than the ps3 launch.

Damn they got the 90s feel so well.


Anyways got the ps1 like when i was in kindergarten. The ps2 when i was in primary school. The ps3 when i was in High School same with the psp. Now that im in college i have a psvita and you know what's next

Sony's PS1 and PS2 literally changed my life and brought me to where I am today. Now, onward to taking Gen8 by a storm!

edit: The PS4 boot sound is pretty damn great. It's the same as when the PS2 confirms that a game is loaded.

omg, you are right, that was a lot of nostalgia, i had the ps1, ps2, ps3 and i will get the ps4. but not for a few more years XD.

i remember when my mother bought me the ps1, she did it like two weeks before christmas and she said to me, you wont use it until christmas day. those were the worst two weeks of my life xd.

sony should make the ps4 intro with the intros of the other 3 consoles. i would be really awesome.

honestly watching this ad makes me feel quite happy. it gives me a lot of memories just seeing those boxes. and being with PlayStation since the start of it is quite a feeling

and if they didnt market the PS4 it would still be considered better marketing than the PS3 marketing at launch.... those baby ads... geez...
