So when's the DQ7 3DS remake coming west, Square?

This isn't surprising. They've been hinting at this kind of stuff for a while. So that's Dragon Quest 1-8 + 10 available on smartphones. I guess 9 will be on the way eventually.

What does surprise me is that 8 is on there. I'd have thought they'd have gone for a 3DS version first, but I guess they're just plowing ahead with the smartphone plan now. Guess we can count them out from any major form of handheld support in the future, even less so than they're doing now.

I really wanted this but I've given up hope.  With 200,000+ sales for Dragon Quest 4-6 and close to a million for Dragon Quest 9, you'd assume the sales were good enough to receive a localization of this one, but it looks like Square Enix has become just as bad as Namco Bandai and Sega.  Final Fantasy Type 0, the SaGa remakes on the DS, literally everything they've developed on the 3DS except for Theatrhythm.  Bravely Default doesn't count since Nintendo is publishing it.

Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 sold poorly in the west though.  I guess that's how Japanese companies think now.  Oh noes.  One game sold poorly.  No support for you!

We all know that DQ always goes to the most popular system... ;)

Well, they have to I guess, their HD console efforts need to be funded one way or another.

I cannot remember the last time I was pleasantly surprised by anything Square Enix did, always either meh or negative for years now.

Well, at least I have another version of DQV I can purchase.

I liked Tomb Raider and Sleeping Dogs.. while Hitman was just above meh.. like ok..

Those games were not developed by Square-Enix...SE only published them...
