So unfortunately the lady who voiced Edna Krababpel passed away today, but surprisingly, she wasn't the character that was going to die :0. So we will probably see her character killed off as well later in the season. The fourth grade will never be the same without her! :'( .

Too bad .

Are you sure Edna wasn't the character planned to die? Marcia Wallace won an Emmy in 1992 for her work in the show, and given that she died from cancer, the writers and producers probably knew about it and planned it to give the character a respectful and loving goodbye.

You could be right about that.  I found out about her death on Miiverse last night.  Pretty saddening.  If it is Mrs. Krababpel that dies, I hope she gets a great sendoff.  I only wish the voice actress would have been around to see the impact.

Apparently not, on the ign article producer Al Jean said that Krabappel wasnt the one they intended to kill off, so they still have to announce the one who dies.
They are also going to give Edna a good send off on the Simpsons.

In that case, they will have to kill or at least get rid of Edna too.

I can't see them using another voice and keeping the character alive.
