Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony Explains Why PS4 is More Fun than Xbox One

Still, no one from Sony saying the PS4 is 50% more powerfull than any other rival.

But I have to agree that the message Sony is puting out is winning the mindshare of consumers. People blindly belive, with no prove what so ever, the tale of a "much more powerfull and 100% dedicated to games hardware" console.

To me this is a much more "evil" PR aprouch than Microsoft being honest with their policies.

Wow...talk about reading too much into it. "we believe this is the most powerful console", "We want consumers to look at how much fun it is to use this system". This is 'evil' PR? Because of what, they are lying that they would like people to have fun and lying that they 'believe' it is the most powerful console?

I guess it would be less honest, when in comparison, the competition started off by being too honest by calling us all theives.

Hmm, pie.

I see no problem they saying it is "the most powerfull console ever", or having fun with it.

"Most powerfull" is not the same as "Much more powerfull". My point is that no one that is really inside the business ever said : "The PS4 is 50% more pooerfull than any other console in the market. Games on the PS4 will have 50% more resolution and 50% more FPS".

I´m not even saying that Sony should not do this kind of PR. I just expect people to put a grain of salt when a Sony PR speaks, the same way you guys put when is Microsoft (even when its a tech guy trying to explain some of his work).

That´s it.

PS: Power and Fun are not exactly correlated. Just see the Wii, DS, 3DS or most of successefull smartphone games.

LOL, People still getting upset over a company using positive PR to try and make a case for their product? Some of you need to get outside more.

@dark-feanor, MS has been vastly worse, and even spreading mis-information that was quickly rebutted..there is a major difference. You have a laughable double standard with reagrds to MS and Sony PR.

I have a lot of fun when people simply invent things that I wrote.

Man, where in my text do I say MS PR is good (in the sence that it sells the product idea)?

Microsoft understimate the neogafism hate that have been building since the inception of Kinect. Game jornalism had to contemplate their viewers, so for months after the lack luster PS4 anounce (and a little before), sites and foruns where flowded with missleading "leaks" of  aways online, no used no borrowing games, chip failure rate, games being delayed... and so on. While Sony was quiet.

And Microsoft let Sony ride the good will hype train and there was almost nothing they could do at May reveal or E3 to appease the game communitie. Even Sony´s E3 that for any preveous year standard would be considered mediocre was a fenomenon for the its last 5 minuties (where they just said that everething would be the same that is today).

Then Microsoft made the 180, and so the only thing that realy put PS4 and XOne apart is the supposed power of each one.

Ok, let´s see what missleading concepts you make up with my words.

?? Everything you said is Biased opinion and had nothing to do with what I posted about your double standard when Ms does some truly terrible Pr (They have), and sony has for the most part been consistent level headed, humble. Ms has even been called out for trying to spin the power numbers. Ms sounds like crooked politicians everytime they speak. Thus all the internet hate the last few months. No one likes being lied to or being treated like an idiot.

There is a lot more diff then jus power. Sony's first party > Microsofts. Sony has less paywall's behind their online infrastructure.

This guy at Gameranx is a clever journalist.

I agree, Nowhere in the OP article does he say that the PS4 is "more fun".  All he indicates is that the console is the most powerful and it WILL be fun.  Not MORE fun.  They are two completely different meanings.  He doesn't even ever make any comparisons to XB1 at all.

Surely that's subjective? I mean even if he's narrowing it down to how the system works, MS have a better track record for OS software than Sony ...

"Surely that's subjective?"

*follows with subjective statement

Oh come on you're not seriously suggesting Sony has an equal or better track record than Microsoft? What kind of OS does your PC run, CellOS?

I don't think you know what subjective means.

Right... In a strict sense, sure, the word "better" is always subjective. But unless you can come up with some decent arguments, it's obvious to any sane person that Microsoft has a superior track record concerning operating systems. I mean come on. What has Sony done in this field that can even remotely compare to Windows? Even Sony would admit Microsoft has the advantage here.

Yeah the title threw me off, because Shuhei is not the type of guy to say that. Though the company may not be, Shuhei is a very humble and fun loving guy from what I have read about him and how he talkes on Podcast Beyond.
