Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Has Xbox One already won the graphics "War"?

I'm so confused!! If there is no difference like you say then how does X1 win exactly?

Because based on a few launch games it manages to have comparable graphics despite not being as powerful as the PS4. Casual gamers won't even see the difference in graphics, but they will see the difference in price. This is where the Xbox wins by having the same graphics despite being cheaper.

It is cheaper, right?

Huh?

Both consoles look good, but it's quite clear that Shadow Fall looks better than the Xbone has this year. However, Knack doesn't look next gen at all, so it kind of evens out. Driveclub looks amazing, but Forza will no doubt look better.

Both consoles will look good.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

LOL. Xbone hasnt won anything in fact the best thing to come out of this xbone fiasco is the complete mess they have made of marketing the thing. Thats the only win for them, a mess

"Hey, Steve, just because you broke into Xerox's house before I did and took the TV doesn't mean I can't go in later and take the stereo." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.

Too most casual users, they wont see any difference. PS4 and X1 will be the "same" power in their eyes.

Then how has XB1 won?

Unfortunately even using your logic it did not. 360 did exactly that. It was less powerful, although the average graphics were pretty much the same AND it was cheaper and older so people would expect PS3 to have better graphics, so 360 won. Now it's different. Xbone may even have comparable graphics, but it's more expensive so people would expect better graphics, so it loses this fight, miserably.

After all these years, you still belive the 360 is less powerful?

Yeah I do, you believe otherwise? Anyway, that's really not important at this point, PS3 had the better looking games, don't care what was the reason for it.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

The PS4 will be stronger, but the Xboner will have better graphics.

Ex Graphics Whore.

I agree that xbone graphics are "good enough," but there's still a significant difference between the two system's power.

You will see this day one. Heck even some semi core gamers should see this without having to go online and pixel count.
