Last I checked, almost any game that sells 1 mil+ in a single territory is considered to be doing well. In North America Brain Training is at 2.5 mil, Big Brain Academy, at 1.3 mil, More Brain Training at 1.6 mil, and BBA: Wii Degree is at 0.55(outselling the JP version by almost 200k). More Brain Training is selling at twice the pace of the original.

I think a lot of people are overestimating Wii Fit's sales in America, but I'm sure it will sell a fair amount. I think it's possible Wii Fit could become a big hit here, but I'm not certain of it. I'm just very doubtful that it will sell in SSBB's neighborhood.

In my opinion wii fit will outsell brawl in 2008- provided- they produce enough product.

Wii Fit will never outsell SSBB or Mario Kart, especially Mario Kart.

0%, I honestly don't see Wii Fit as the next coming everyone thinks it is :/ It wont move nearly as many copies as Brawl.

As Leonardo1 posted, Wii Fit will not be perceived as a videogame but rather as a fitness product. As such, I have no doubt the potential market is vastly bigger than any hardcore videogame, such as SSBB, can reach.

The real question is, who cares whether Wii Fit outsells Brawl or not? It's much more important for both titles to sell well than for either of them to outsell the other one, seeing as they are:

- on the same console.
- developed by the same company.
- of totally different genres.

Both titles will sell enough to give Nintendo a nice profit. So don't "worry" *, they won't stop developing either genre.

Bottom line - this question is irrelevant (although I can't see the original post since the thread author seems to be banned).

however, i'm not sure how many boards they will produce/week so not sure that fit can win THIS year

but it will only not catch up due to supply constraints...and then lifetime it'll easily surpass the sales

wii fit will be a phenomenon in america...only a few months until the doubters find out

I think Wii Fit will outsell Brawl. Every copy of Wii Fit will be sold by the holdays. It will still be considered the hot item at Christmas. My guess is that they will move about 3-4 million copies of Wii Fit sometime between October and December, if supply allows for it. Most likely they will move any remaining copies of Wii Fit. I will say you will still be able to find copies of Kart and Brawl in December.
