We'l see; I still think a lot of people are waiting on the heavy hitters like Smash bros and Mario Kart 8.

And yeah, no Wii U for me yet, getting one for Donkey Kong Country when it comes out.

Well I'm not buying a WiiU or ANYTHING for that matter until that BIG game is released.  I don't care what the hell is out beforehand.  In the WiiU's case, that game is MarioKart 8.  PS4/XBOne (whichever one I decide to buy) case would probably be KH3 (whenever the heck that comes out.)  Hell, I didn't buy a PS3 until Batman Arkhum Asylum was released and that was THREE years after the PS3's release.  And I might get banned or warned for saying this but any smart person who HASN'T bought into the next gen should wait until that big game releases, not announced.  I wonder if anyone bought a PS3 for the fact that the last guardian was announced a few years ago and yet there's rumors that the game could possibly appear on the PS4 instead.

I also have a friend who bought a WiiU a few months ago in the anticipation of Smash Bros (another big game), but.....that game won't see the light of day for another year at LEAST and yet, he has to either wait it out for who knows how long until the game eventually releases or he has to buy games he finds interesting or somewhat interesting to help warrant his purchase. 

Anyways, as for the OT... I'm having mixed feelings on this myself.  On one hand you have a company that barely released anything notibly worth buying for SEVERAL months and as a result of that, there's plenty of WORTHWHILE games to be had this upcoming season and DKC probably isn't needed.  PLUS the delay can only mean that the game is improved as a result.  BUT on the other hand, to people that bought the console in anticipation of said games, they want as many games as possible due to the lack of games they had an option of buying for several months and that means one less game to buy.
