this is a real killer app here. The real deal. Microsoft if you want to outsell Sony easily first year. Lock this game down and announce that fact. And its sequels. You have all these non shooters now and looks like the best shooter of the next gen in titanfall. Without even trying.

did sony got in trouble with ps3 in the games department? why should sony be in trouble now because of this game that will release in 2 consoles and pc ? and this is probably time exclusive for 360 consoles, dont know why ps4 will be in trouble.

I said if they could lock it down. It would give Microsoft the first year in sales. I believe. Especially with the praise the games getting. Its higher than I remember GTA4 hype was. Look aat those review scores.

Even if they could lock it down. Which they can't, it's still available on 2 other platforms. Meaning it's not a system sell for x1. Most of the sales will go to 360. It wont matter if they are playing an inferior version of the game, they don't have to buy a new system for it, plus most newer pc should be able to handle the game. So another reason people don’t need to buy and x1 for the game. EA want's the next COD, and the only way to do that is to have it on everything, not just xbox. Unless MS want’s to pay them from every copy that could have sold on PlayStation, which even then i don't see MS doing so because it would insure they never make their money back. Just isn't worth it. MS needs to create their own IP and leave the 3rd party money hating alone. It doesn’t do any good. And clify B is the main reason the gear’s never went to ps3, he’s a big MS fanboy.

Im purely talking hypothetical. Im in no way saying thats going to happen. Just what I think if it didd. The 360 version is not just inferior but bad by comparison. Half the map size, half the player count and half the customization options. Titanfall on XB1 is essentially Titanfall 2 in comparison to 360. I think it will sell XB1's. Online players who will buy this game ( 9m halo fans and 12 m COD fans ) will want the best full stable experience. Not to mention dedicated servers on XB1 and not 360.

I was just reading the contract between Respawn and EA. I also just finishing reading the contract between M$ and EA and Respawn. You wouldn't believe the way this deal works...

Don't be silly, NO ONE on this site has any real knowledge of how any of these particular deals were done. This is the worst form of speculation. No real life experience in the negotiation of said deals with EA or M$. No real idea at all. But, a number of posters act like they have a clue who owns what rights and who is in control of what.

It may be fun to speculate, but don't bother to imply that you are right or another person is wrong.

Well Respawn want it everywhere.

 

Let's start with Respawn. Lead artist Joel Emslie, who followed Vince Zampella and Jason West out of Activision's Infinity Ward after the pair were fired, told Eurogamer the development team wants Titanfall to be played by as many people as possible.

"When you boil it down, we would love to be everywhere, but we're just starting out," Emslie explained. "It comes down to quality, not quantity. We have a fantastic relationship with Microsoft. It just boiled down to, okay, how can we hit this as hard as can and get it on as many platforms as possible and deliver the quality, the 60 hertz, out of the gate? That was the goal.

"We of course would want to go further in the future with stuff, but we're just starting out. It's pretty frustrating! We want to be everywhere. We want to put Titanfall everywhere, but that's where we're at. We're starting there."

Let's put it plainly: will PlayStation owners ever see Titanfall?

"It's definitely not out of the question," Emslie replied. "We have a huge appreciation for the fans. Coming out and showing it to everybody, we're super nervous and wanted to make sure everybody loved it. We love all our fans, whatever console they support.

"So yeah. We want to make everybody happy, but this is where we're at right now."

Titanfall is exclusive to MS based systems but Look out for TitanFall: Orbital Drop coming to other systems by 2015, it's a totally different game I promise you.



PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

 I feel like even a monkey can figure out that there will be a PS4 version eventually, especially if the game is profittable and PS4 continues to do a lot better than XBone. Besides having payed EA for timed exclusitivity rights, Microsoft doesn't seem to own any legitimate rights over the game. It's why we eventually saw the release of all 3 Mass Effects on PS3. EA is out for Money, not any other company's interest.

Agree, I'm waiting for the ps4 version too, i have a feeling it will be in the console in 1 year.
