I find the Forza reviews to be a tad over inflated for what it is. Gran Turismo goes through overly critical reviews when it still does much that Forza doesn't. Graphically, GT6 and Forza will most likely be about equal but its the physics that go into GT that make it over all superior. There was a lot of fanboy rage trying to dismantle GT as the "defacto sim racer". This isn't to say Forza wasn't a great game. It probably deserves the high scores. Yet GT should at least be around the same if not higher.

Well now that the Forza reviews are in, does anyone want to revisit their prediction?

I would say it will be close but GT6 will score better.

Everyone and their mother know I support Sony and don't care about Microsoft, but please stop comparing Forza and Gran Turismo. Forza is on whole different level.

Really Gran turismo 5 was TRASH, and 6, judging by the demo is almost the same. The driving feeling is just OFF.

This is the main reason I hope Xbox one will fall this gen, to see the forza franchise on sony console.

oh, i didn't know that. sry. well, but my prediction still holds. we have Polygon in metacritics. there is no way GT6 can win.

Whatever happens, I can bet you one reviewer will say something stupid like "The graphics are not as good as Forza." and instantly show their bias.

I think both will score around the 88 - 90 mark. I also bet we will see loads of arguments in which people will compare the graphics of a next gen to current gen game, but alas that is the way of the fanboy/girl/platypus.


He did it because it helps skew the numbers. The funny thing about GT vs. Forza is...GT destroys it in sales every single time. Why? Because racing fans know it's the better game. These people are as OCD as they come and if Forza>GT, Forza would be their game of choice.

Forza 5 is showing an 82 on Metacritic right now. That's lower than GT5 and will probably be lower than GT6. But! and this is a very big but, I think you should always take review scores with a grain of salt. Especially review scores for Niche games like sim-ish racers.

 

Edit: 82 on Metacritic after 30 reviews.

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
