Evolution had better release some mindblowing gameplay and/or info, and fast, or else they'll be the next Sony studio to be shut down upon driveclub's flop release.

P.S. is there anyone here who is super hyped for driveclub? Am I missing anything? Or is my above assessment accurate? I'd love it if i was wrong.

WTF? DriveClub and GT are completely different... graphics, focus, gameplay, etc... everything.

GamesCom hyped the game... now a lot of guys are saying that will buy DriveClub.

Well it's a racing game...what racing game out there distinguishes itself from Gran Turismo. 

Maybe if you could control flying unicorns instead of cars? That would be quite different.

Ha, nice.
A lot of things can distinguish racers from each other (and from GT). One of the main categories is sim/realistic racers vs. Non-sim/casual racers. The main reason I think Driveclubs direction is such a huge mistake is that they seem to be going for a realistic, serious racing game. This spot is already filled by gran turismo -- 5 times over. Because of this, I see no reason why anyone would buy driveclub over gran turismo. Or forza, for that matter.

But, that's why I asked my questions at the end of my post. I'm hoping I'm wrong, and that I'm just missing something or haven't seen enough gameplay videos.

I hope that driveclub ends up fantastic, that it truly does distinguish itself from gran turismo, and that it sells respectably. I just have a very strong feeling that it wont based off what I've seen so far.

So you ARE hyped for it? Your (seeming) lack of excitement in the OP made driveclubs prognosis seem even worse. Tbh, I haven't really heard ANYone seem excited for this game -- gamers and journalists alike.

So you're telling me the gamescom footage was that much of a game changer for u?

Not just for me... it was a game changer for a lot of guys... the game changed from water to wine if you compare the E3 build with GamesCom build.

And it is a Arcade racing like PGR...Forza and GT are another kind of racing.

Lol don't worry they know the video is compressed. They just complain because they want to troll. Doesn't even matter, not like they would ever buy Drive Club. Not even if it was the best looking racing game next gen, they would never admit it lol. Always finding things to complain about =/
