Killzone shadowfall has terrible presentation imo, everything looks like plastic.

Personally, I couldn't care less about that game, but that is what the Sony fans will bring up to "prove" PS4 is a powerhouseXD

Sony Fans need to get a better idea of what the color blue is supposed to look like then

Huh?

Killzone shadow fall looks incredible.

So guys, before I finish the prep work, why don't you tell me why the PS4 is more powerful than the Wii U? Nobody has even made a case for that yet. So go ahead, explain to me your reasoning. Each generation is a fresh slate, are you just making assumptions because Sony had the most powerful system on the market last generation? If you mention the original Wii your credibility is lost.

So go ahead, make your case for the PS4, why is it more powerful?

Do you willfully ignore what has been posted a large number of times before for giggles, or because you are that much of a console partisan that you choose not to want to pay attention?  One can argue the extra power doesn't matter.  But to say NO ONE has argued it, means you are not paying attention.  Stuff like this has been done over and over and over and over...

http://www.ign.com/wikis/xbox-one/PS4_vs._Xbox_One_vs._Wii_U_Comparison_Chart

Stuff of note:

* 4x less memory, and inferior to what the PS4 is running.

* Much less internal storage.

* Magnitude less shaders.

* Multiple less cores in the CPU.

* Half the space on the disks.

* Magnitude less shader throughput.

So, next up, you need to argue that all that doesn't matter in the real world. You can't argue no one showed you.  I just did.  You CAN argue it doesn't matter though.  And I suggest anyone seeing this here, whenever you spout off EVER again about no one showing you, go ahead and point to this thread to get you to remember.  Because, another thing is maybe you are having problems remembering things, so that would help.

John Lucas, what about an hypothetical google console running android OS with competitive specs ?

The Wii U's CPU has a 4-stage pipeline. Running above 1 GHz with a 4-stage pipeline is very impressive. The Jaguar CPU has up to a 14-stage pipeline. These Jaguar CPUs are capable of a much higher clock rate than 1.5 GHz. Each core in the Wii U's CPU is at least twice as powerful as each Jaguar core due to being far more efficient with clock rates. The only difference here is that the PS4 and XB1 have 8 cores and not 6.

Ok so I went way back in the thread to see what nin10do was saying. How have people interpreted this part?

^ 8 Jaguar cores wont ever get the benefit of simultaneous usage at maximum.

But aren't you forgetting the super-efficient PowerPC-CPU of the WiiU? ;)

Okay, the GPU is much more important for the overall graphic power than the CPU...  and the PowerPC in the WiiU is of the third generation, not of the actual fifth generation.

And let's forget that Apple changed from PowerPC to x86 because Intel's progress in efficiency (performance per watt) was much faster than IBM's : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple%27s_transition_to_Intel_processors#Reasons

The netburst architecture was a real power hog, so no wonder Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo decided against it when they were planning their 7th generation consoles in 2003 - 2004. But that changed with the Athlon64 (AMD) and the Core2Duo (Intel), since then the x86-CPUs got more efficient every year.

Nintendo went with PowerPC because x86 designs needs a lot of RAM to function^

And here's something interesting about WiiU's sales:
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=168997

I quote:
"WiiU hardware sales seem to have gotten a pretty good boost with the price cut + WW HD bundle."

"I was looking at the WW HD community this morning, and it is getting around 4posts per minute which is huge. I then checked the profile of the first 25 posts and most of them were brand new profiles who had just gotten their wiiU. I also checked the Nintendoland community and I was seeing a lot of brand new profiles posting on there too. Either way, we know windwaker HD sold tremendously on the eshop seeing at it is getting tons of player posts every minute and it has been only released on the eshop so far.
How much do you think the wiiU will sell on it's price cut week and release of WW HD.
Also, how much do you think WW HD has sold on the eshop so far?
My prediction is that the wiiU will sell 70k in America on it's price cut week and WW HD will have sold around 50-60k on the eshop."

And another interesting quote from a poster named "Gamegears".

"Actually Zelda did some of that itself.. I posted elsewhere.. that Amazon sales on The Wii U and all bundles rose by hundreds and thousands (In some cases ) and this is not only good for Nintendo.. sales on third party games.. have literally jumped up thousands of places... so yeah..you should start seeing a lot of new profiles all over the place.. Zelda, Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros/Luigi Bros. U and Pikmen 3 along with Wonderful 101 being the primary culprits going by Amazons top 100... the price cut will help it as well.. "

It begins...

Thus begins a new age for Nintendo and the the twilight of the HD Warriors.

About the sales, it is worth mentioning that the Wii U still hasn't been launched on Brazil and i personally believe that its going to be a big hit around here and im telling you why:

The average price of the Xone is around R$ 2.200 wich is about US 1000, one thousand dollars thanks to all those cursed taxes and stuff, so it is very, very expensive for the average consumer here.

The Ps4 is a little bit cheaper, its price varies from R$ 1.800 to R$ 2.000 , wich is like US 820 - 900 dollars, still out of reach for the majority of brazilian customers.

Now the Wii U might come here for R$ 1.200 to 1.400 = US 450 - 620 dollars.

So as we can see the Wii U is much more interesting for its price range, let alone the games itself.

What's the 8 vs 6 about?
