Why PS Vita?

- Take it on the go

- Functioning Touchpad

- Dual thumbsticks

- Nathan Drake, Sackboy, etc.

- Better graphics, respectably, than the N64 (no bashing, I swear)

- It has

- Quad-core processor

- 512 RAM and 126 VRAM

- $200+ at major stores, but much cheaper buy ing online at sites like eBay or craigslist, and the upcoming holiday season will definitely put Vita at under 200 dollars, and maybe even a game or memory card in a bundle!

Not really digging people saying NOBODY is developing for this handheld, but look here, what we have against 3DS...

We have a decent Call of Duty Black Ops 2 spin-off (really not as bad as articles doomed it to be), Assassin's Creed: Liberation, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Wipeout 2048, Gravity Rush, Limbo, Hotline Miami, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Rayman Origins, and more.

It has been confirmed that we will be getting The Binding of Issac, another Assassin's Creed spin-off, Terraria, Worms: Revolution, Walking Dead, Killzone: Mercenary, Rayman Legends, Spelunky, Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate, Mutant Mudds, MotoGP 13, LEGO Marvel, Cloudberry Kingdom, Castle of Illusion, Tearaway, Dust 514, Final Fantasy HD, Dragon's Crown, Fifa Soccer 14, and more THIS YEAR, so far. And they just keep on coming. YOU HAVE TO REALIZE SLOWLY, BUT SURELY VITA IS CATCHING UP IN QUALITY TO 3DS!

Alright, so say you aren't able to afford all these hit games at once, and can only buy a $40 dollar game or two every year......well, can you afford 5 bucks a month?

Indeed, Playstation Plus is here to help.

Thank you, and have a nice day. Hope I opened quite a few ears. Feel free to correct me on anything, I'm open for discussion.

Disclaimer: By the way, I'm not a Sony White Knight who defends Vita all the time and is all up in arms, but I have to defend my handheld sometimes.

Disclaimer v2: Not trying to bashing on 3DS, it's actually a very polished handheld with a lot of cool games.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to the TL;DR version of this thread! (4 sentences, I swear bro)

Vita is 200 dollars+ and less on holidays! Games include hit indie titles like Hotline Miami, all the way to some h@rdc0re games like Assassin's Creed: Liberation. It offers a wide variety of games at the moment, and is just growing rapidly this year of 2013. Then there is Playstation Plus, where you get 6 Vita games for free a year, with new titles added every month or so, and some deep discounts to come along.

The same reason why people are hating on the Wii-U because they just want to and because both arent selling as well as they should be.

Plain and simple~

Alright, what makes you think it should be selling better?

Beats me, its a brilliant device. The operating system is superb and fast, it feels wonderful and looks amazing. I love mine.

Actually I dont think people hate it, they just didnt like the price, however that argument is old.

You can get a new vita, 10 game bundle, with an 8g memory card for £169.99 from Amazon uk here

Hmm, "quality" is a subjective term when it comes to games. Some people think the Vita already has same/higher quality games than the 3DS, though the majority of people do not think that way. I don't think the Vita will ever reach that level, but that definitely isn't a reason not to get a Vita. The Vita will no doubt have games not found on the 3DS that are must-haves (whether Nintendo fans admit it or not) and if you truly love gaming, you owe it to yourself to give it a shot given you have the budget for it.

3DS and Vita are my fave consoles since early 2012. if only Nintendo had a ps+ like offering. i cant afford all the portable amazingness

I'm not interested in handhelds, I have no need for one.
I play games at home. When I'm elsewhere I do other things.

I love the Indie support it is getting, but it needs its own exclusive to make it a must buy instead of second-rate ports that it has been releasing months after the game releases on consoles

Problem comes from the fact that handhelds do have exclusives, and you can play handhelds at home too.
Justsaying

The Vita is an amazing piece of hardware, the best I've ever played on. The first problem for some people is the price of the console, which is kind of understandable, and the price of the memory cards, which is very understandable.

The bigger problem, however, is that it doesn't have many multi-demographical offerings like the 3DS does. Let's be honest, the 3DS works because it appeals to core gamers, to social gamers, including girls, and perhaps most importantly, to kids. Sony really, really needs to look into securing an IP that clicks with younger gamers. Succeeding the handheld market requires it.

But if I'm at home, I could just play consoles, which I find offer a vastly better experience.
