This. Just came in to mention him but I was beaten to the punch, it seems.

Also, all the main actors from the Shrek movies and the main actors from the Ice Age movies.

Screw George Lopez. Seth Macfarlane and H. Jon Benjamin spank George's ass. Can't stand George Lopez. He isn't funny nor does he have an impressive voice.

George lopez usually has a big part though. Can we say the same for....is it ...Mr. Potato head?

If that's too broad, how about Tom Hanks and Tim Allen from just the Toy Story movies?

Just being in a large number of high-grossing movies doesn't necessarily make you "the most successful" voice actor, especially if that's not your primary line of work. There are guys out there that have voiced more characters than you can count. Constant work probably nets you more money than a couple large projects. I would also count notoriety toward the level of success, so legends like Jim Cummings are way bigger in my opinion.

Not even close. How about grossing 5 times that amount...

The Smurfs ( 563 million WW gross)

The SMurfs 2

Rio ( 484 million WW gross)

Rio 2

Escape from Planet Earth ( 70 million WW gross)

Beverly hills Chihuahua( 149 million WW gross)

Marmaduke ( 83 million WW gross)

Pretty sure he was in some Guinea pig movie as well....

His voice acting movies have made over 1.2 billion dollars WW!

Unless someone can come up with some Cartoon voice actor who was around for 40 years, I doubt anyone can top him. Not even the great Mark Hamill.

To answer your question above, yes, Frank Welker beasts all over Lopez and any other voice actor until just recently:

From Wikipedia:  Due to the large number of films he is able to work on in a given year, films with Frank Welker had grossed more than those of any other actor in Hollywood from 1980 until 2011, when he was surpassed by Samuel L. Jackson.

Frank Welker is probably the most impressive voice actor in history; from Freddy in the original Scooby Doo cartoons, to Megatron in the '80s Transformers to Dr. Claw in Inspector Gadget, I almost guarantee that anyone reading this has heard his voice in something they've seen before:

EDIT: beaten by brundlefly

I think Mel Blanc was in a few things. Could be wrong.

Then there is someone like the incredible Miyuki Sawashiro, who has voiced quite a few characters.  I highlighted a few of the more interesting games.

Double Post

Nah, I think the comments have already countered that.

Also, I hate George Lopez with the burning intensity of a thousand fiery suns. I just don't like him as a comedian. Which is funny, since my hispanic cousins loved him, and influenced me a lot to enjoy his comedy as a kid. I quickly realized he was crap, though.
