Xbox One Records the Last 5 Min of Your Gameplay (PS4 15 Min Confirmed)

Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One Records the Last 5 Min of Your Gameplay (PS4 15 Min Confirmed)

"The idea is you're always recording," Lobb said of the Xbox One's game DVR feature, nicknamed 'Project Upload'. "The last five minutes of any game you're playing are always being stored on your hard drive."

"Say you're playing online and you just did the best thing ever - you can't pause as you're playing online," Lobb continued. "You can say 'Xbox, record that' and it'll grab the last 30 seconds of gameplay for you to play around with later."

UPDATED: Sony confirmed 15 minutes for PS4 after DigitalFoundry fuzz.

This claim was misheard and led to some reports suggesting PS4 captures "seven" minutes of gameplay data, while other articles claimed the console records "several minutes". But on Monday a spokesperson for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe told CVG PS4 will continually record 15 minutes of gameplay data, as initially reported.

15 minutes > 5 minutes

I wonder if you can set the recording options on each console to be shorter or longer, depending on your preference.

That would take up alot of space if you played every day

Oh, but this will require internet-access and a decent one, indeed, to share. Sadly this feature will only be available to a certain amount of people in the world, not everyone has fast internet, some even don't have any access to the internet. MS really is excluding more features to gamers all around the world again, it's getting worse every day...

Ok, someone who wants to record LP's still needs to use a capture card on the Xbone? Nice job, MS.

Are you sure that you can't save in a pendrive and watch it on PC?

The competitor offers 15 minutes which isn't that long, either.

For what? The idea is to share your experiences and achievements. If I transfer it to pc I have shared it with... me and my pc...
