Not quite following you.   Do you mean flat taxes, ones graduated by income and resource use or something else?

I do like how, I think it's Sweeden, adjust your car ticket prices by income.  So a person with low income might have a $20 ticket, and a person who makes 20 million a year, might have a $400,000 one.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Took long enough, the UK government moves as slow as the US one.

Well, as a nation the USA is still behind.  It is only since the last SCOTUS ruling that the Federal Government started recognizing marriages that happened in the states where it is legal.

With the massive lawsuit going on all over the country, I doubt it will take more than 5ish years.  Espically as people realize that is has nothing to do with their Churches, but is a Civil Rights issue.

Not long now, but how embarassing if both Costa Rica and Columbia gain on civil rights issues over the USA.

I meant that the legislation passed ages ago thanks to Cameron and it's just taken this long to finally get all the way through the chain.

I believe what he is referring to is that unlike most countries their is no equal protection principle in regards to taxes.

So that if I make $40,000 and you make $40,000 we could pay totally different tax rates before any deductables are factored in because we do different jobs... or even have different races! (Though no such law regarding race exists to my knowledge.)

It is funny though how much people focus on income tax when there is so many other factors.

Yep flat rate taxes. They should come in. Why should people who work hard to move up in the workforce pay more taxes?

EDIT: sorry had to rush out so coldn't finish typing and noticed i actually hit send.

My more taxes I mean a higher %. In a way I do not mind that but what is annoying is everythign is means tested. So jsut because you earn X you have to pay additional levys to fund say the public medical system. On top of that if you don't get private health you have to pay a further levy. Why do I have to be forced to get private health? Why don't I get a choice If I want the public system if I am already paying more taxes and extra levys?  This is obviously jsut one example, so I don't want to sidetrack this thread further off topic.

As I have pointed out before, it is refering to Gender Equality.  That someones marriage is not in any way effected by the gender of the two people involved.

Sorry if what ever kind of marriage you are seeking is not allowed yet.  But then it would seem, that it is not part of gender marriage equality rights then.

I think it really depends how they make and spend the money.

I think people working of the money, is quite different from others living off inheritance or something they haven't worked for.

Currently, the USA is severely stacked to the benefit of non-worker types.
