The Nintendo Franchise's (at least most of them). We Have 3DS out for over 2 years now and WiiU for a couple months. Lets see what franchises are here at retail/releasing soon/Needs to release! Here We Gooooooo! Post What Franchise's you like to see/Need to be broughten out!
*MARIO'S RPG (INCLUDE'S PAPER MARIO/MARIO+LUIGI/MARIO RPG)*
With Two Games Out within 3 years of 3DS life (One for the Paper Mario and One For the Brother Duo Franchise) Mario+Luigi seems to look like it will deliver what we want within the franchise! Now its not out yet over here in NoA but what im seeing so far it looks like a class A game. Mario+Luigi has to be all about a humor adventuring story driven fun and quirky franchise which seems like its shaping up to be! Also with the new fighting/battle gameplay that adds on more than ever, it might be shaping up to be the best in the franchise(lets hope it wil be :).
Now for paper mario, sticker star is definetly its own game. Paper Mario fans from the original two will often say this is the worst in the franchise. All i have to say is i agree, even though i dont think its horrible, it doesnt stand anywhere near paper mario (N64) or TTYD and thats where i feel me personally and other fans of the series were hurt from. If i had to make a top 10 rpg list of all time, both the original paper mario games would have easily made the list! So high expectations were coming from sticker star. But enough with the negativity, Sticker Star had its own unique battle system which you either enjoyed or hated, had some hard to find objectives to complete(i literally got stuck like 4 times o.O), but overall was a decent game. All i have to say is anybody that played this game only in the franchise, you'll be blown away by the originals.... SO go by them!
Tbone's Prediction/Hopes! For the series i want one out of two games. Both of them on WiiU. 1. Would be Paper Mario going back into its old roots and making a 2015-2017 release! 2. Would be the orginal SUPER MARIO RPG:LEGEND OF THE SEVEN STARS sequel. I would gladly be happy for this more than anything unannounced for wiiu but thats just me!(2015-2017) Whats's yours>? Post!
*DONKEY KONG
The all mighty king of the jungle(or bananas *.*) has two games of the generation. One on each the handheld and console from nintendo. Now lets start with DKCR3D. Its a port of a 3 year old game(origianal on wii) and puts it without motion control(duh). With this game having an easier mode to help players from dying this game also added an extra world. Basically a game that should be bought only if you missed on the fabolous wii version. A game that puts Hard in 2D platformers. With Co op with a friend your allow to play both DK and long time buddy Diddy Kong!
Now for the real new and improved game, tropical freeze as of now looks to deliver. WIth 4 characters to play (returning Duo with long awaited DIxie Kong and unannouce character) and co op im very excited for the game. Game is made by the legendary Retro Studios so we should be in good hands with content and 2D platforming! A game on WiiU is a must buy for anyone wanting a challenge or just want a damn fine game on WiiU!
Tbone's Prediction/Hopes! Well I can say certain dont bring another port (tropical freeze) to 3DS in the future! We Dont need to a teamn from nintendo wasting time on a just release port, thats for sure. Now what i want to see if late in WiiU's COnsole life is a direct(or just another) 3D platforming DK game. There has been only one and thats DK64. THat game along with SM64/BanjoKazooie+Tooie/Conker Bad Fur Day was the best 3D platforming of the 5th Generation hands down. DK64 had 5 playable characters which unique of the 5 on N64. WHy not make another one and add DIxie Kong and maybe one more?(2017-2018)?! What do you think?
*STAR FOX SERIES
Man oh man, One of the best franchises Nintendo has ever made and imo if they actually make more it could rise to be very popular like it was in the N64 days. Only game in the 8th gen so far is the port of a must on game in the 90's. Yes starfox 64 is the best in the franchise wit the original a close 2nd. Everybody is waiting for a proper starfox title, mainly on WiiU. Its Piloting combat is still very loved by Nintendo core gamers and needs to sets its arwings back into the lylat system.
Tbone's Prediction/Hopes! Simple, make an awesome pilot game from the N64 roots with little as walking/shooting possible. While Assault on GCN was fun, it missed the point of star fox which is a pilot game. Make thenext game 85% flying 15% on foot! (2014-2015)
