Forums - General Discussion - What languages do you speak/want to speak?

I can speak fluent Spanish and English. A bit of French, but not enough. I want to learn Russian, Chinese, Japanese and German.

I can speak English and Spanish very fluently. I speak German well enough.

I desperately (well, not really desperately) need to learn Dutch since I just moved to Holland. On top of this I would like to learn Portuguese. It's the second most important Romance language after Spanish, honestly (shove it up your ass, French!)

Right now I am fluent in Spanish and English. I would just love to learn Japanese. It is for a stupid reason though. I want to be able to play JRPGS that haven't been translated. Then I would never have to worry about Nintendo or Square Enix being stupid when it comes to translations.

That's not a stupid reason! Any reason's a good reason.

Yeah, I would definitely hate to live in a country where I can't speak the native language. I agree that French is in decline, but it's my prefernce when it comes to Romance languages.

That's easy. Just get drunk and then try to speak English with a German pronounciation of the words. That should about nail it.

Oh btw, hast du schon die Redundanzüberdruckmessnotfallventile auf den Dampfflussschiffen der deutschen Dampfflussschifffahrtsaufsichtsbehörde überprüft?

I dunno dude. Spoken well, Spanish oozes macho sexiness.

And yeah! That's very true. It's really awkward not being able to understand supermarket signs, so I'm in the process of learning Dutch. In fact, during high school I learned German for five years so I could learn Dutch more easily later on for college. My high school doesn't offer Dutch language courses. (Also, yeah, I plan waaay ahead sometimes.)

Das ist ein Grund, dass Deutsch ist schwere für mich. Ich denke, dass einige Worte sind zu langen!
