It's time for a new rumor about Intel!

9th Generation Intel Processors Will Get Octa Core i7 (Guru3D)
or Intel’s Flagship 9th Generation Core i7-9700K To Pack 8 Cores, 16 Threads – Core i5 Upgrade To 6 Cores, 12 Threads and Core i3 Gets Quad Cores With 8 Threads (Wccftech)
(Original source: HKEPC_ http://www.hkepc.com/15957/ (in Chinese?))
In what is a pretty difficult to translate article, Asia based HKEPC claims to have spoken with motherboard manufacturers, and discovered that Intel's upcoming 9th generation processors will again see a Ryze (pun) in processor cores.

With current Coffee lake Intel already stepped things up towards with up-to 6 cores on the 8000 series, for the 9000 series this would become up-to 8-cores. According to the rumor, all series i3/ i5 and i7 will get hyper-threading as well (for selected SKUs).

Straight from HKEPC, who were able to get information out of Taiwan motherboard makers, it has been rumored that the 9th generation flagship which will be known as the Intel Core i7-9700K, will pack 8 cores and 16 threads.

According to the same source, Intel’s next generation Core i5 chips will be packing a 6 core and 12 thread design. Currently, all Intel Core i5 series chips come with 6 cores and 6 threads while the i7 lineup features 6 cores and 12 threads. The Core i3 series on the other hand will be getting multi-threading support too which means we are looking at 4 cores and 8 threads compared to 4 cores and 4 threads that are available on Coffee Lake Core i3 chips right now.

That would be pretty cool. I'd definitely go for a high clocked mainstream i7 with 8C/16T.

The question is what would happen to Intel's s.2011 line of procs, because those with 8 or less cores would be useless, and those with more cores will, due to being slower (because I doubt the supposed 8c/16t 9700K would be slower than the 8700K), have problems beating it at most consumer/prosumer tasks.

It's currently on Kickstarter, and with eight days to go has already raised more than double Swiss developer Stray Fawn Studios' goal of $20,398.

Trüberbrook is currently on Kickstarter, and with 16 days to go has already earned nearly double developer Btf's target of $95,391.

Magibot is a 'strategy platformer' about a cute robot wizard
http://www.pcgamer.com/magibot-is-a-strategy-platformer-about-a-cute-robot-wizard/
Generally, platformers emphasize quick reflexes over careful strategy. Strategies rarely evolve beyond 'jump over the thing.' Not so in Magibot, a self-proclaimed hybrid of "both strategic and 2D platformer gameplay" starring Ilo, a robot magician. As Ilo, you use 'magic blocks' to create a navigable path, and then you navigate it yourself.

Do you really think people (consumer and prosumer, remember), will care that much about quad RAM or extra security to justify the extra cost of the platform?

But now that I think about it, Intel always plays the PCIe lines card.

The HDMI 2.1 specifications are now official ...

It's so liberating how both FreeSync and FreeSync 2 got rolled into HDMI 2.1, no more vendor specific bullcrap such as FreeSync and hopefully G-Sync ... (if HDMI 2.1 = not supported then no buy from me)

May the highest amount of nits and highest VRR range display have my money ...

Only 4k120. Get this shit out of my sight. Are people even using HDMI for PC gaming nowadays? Seems like a great evolution for TVs though.
