Purrfect Date bills itself as a "surreal adventure in which the player's human character gets to date cats on a mysterious island". I don't know what else to say beyond that, really, besides that it's due on PC via Steam on December 15.

Star Ocean—The Last Hope PC remaster drops flashy launch trailer

As reported by Fraser last month, Star Ocean is set to make its debut on PC with The Last Hope—a remaster of the 2009 fifth series entry, that's a prequel chapter to the first game launched in '96. The former is due tomorrow, November 28, and now has a launch trailer.

Last month, Fortnite developer Epic Games banned thousands of cheaters from its survival shooter—filing lawsuits against whom it perceived to be the biggest offenders in the process. One player accused is a 14-year-old, whose mother has now motioned to have the case against her son dropped.

Nimbatus: The Space Drone Constructor is, as you may have deduced, a game about constructing space drones. More accurately, it's a space sim in which you design drones to complete missions in a fully destructible universe. It's currently on Kickstarter, and with eight days to go has already raised more than double Swiss developer Stray Fawn Studios' goal of $20,398.

 

Cold War adventure game Trüberbrook takes handcrafted visuals to a new level

The terms "handmade" and "handcrafted" are thrown around liberally when it comes to videogame art, but few games take the idea as far as Trüberbrook, an adventure game set in an alternate 1960s Cold War Germany. Trüberbrook is currently on Kickstarter, and with 16 days to go has already earned nearly double developer Btf's target of $95,391.

Generally, platformers emphasize quick reflexes over careful strategy. Strategies rarely evolve beyond 'jump over the thing.' Not so in Magibot, a self-proclaimed hybrid of "both strategic and 2D platformer gameplay" starring Ilo, a robot magician. As Ilo, you use 'magic blocks' to create a navigable path, and then you navigate it yourself.
