Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony Recouping Hardware Losses THrough Software Price-Hike

60 bucks is pretty much the standard now for 360/PS3, which really isn't a big deal I think.

I remember paying 60 bucks for Super Mario Kart on the SNES.

Happy to see no spin on this, a rare sight from Sony.

No biggie. Just matching the already expected price of PS3 games. Seems kinda dumb they were lower than 3rd parties in the first place.

Finally, a good PR person from Sony. Speak the truth and it will set you free.

Dont know. Nintendo games are much cheaper than sega games on the wii.

I presume this price raise is just in Britain and Austraila.

Sony's first party games are still a full 10 euro cheaper over here.

PAL regions seem to get the shaft consistantly from the whole industry...

N64 carts were $60 as well.

I have an N-Gage... and still play it.

So it was Sony's fault... and not Capcom or the Stores.

Hah. The one thing people didn't blame on Sony was their fault.

Edit (Oh wait this is about the first party games only? )

I wandered why the RRP of Uncharted and Ratchet were up at £45 as opposed to the £40 they should have been (still save £10 on amazon), although third party titles are still £50

Lies. Sony is a company that CARES for their customers, sacrificing themselves and their numbers to give their fans a top-notch product at an affordable price. Not like other companies who like to screw their fans giving them a dumbed down product that offers nothing (NOTHING) new compared to their old one.

If Sony is raising the price of their games, is because they are increasing the quality. Simple logic.

All new N64 games were expensive because of the cartrige. Weren't some games $70+?
