Probably.  I don't think there's any major games coming out for the PS4 that would interest the Japanese market until RE2 and KH3 so Spider-Man should benefit greatly.

Mario Party is a 1 million seller in Japan, even Star Rush and Top 100 did 200k there. I think pre-orders are either not open yet or the audience doesn't pre-order this type of game far in advance.

The Switch just enhances the value of party games due to its versatility of play and easy portability so I wouldn't be surprised if Super Mario Party broke 2m in Japan if it's a well-received game and Nintendo gave it some breathing room by waiting a while to release another Party game.  I mean, freaking 1-2-Switch is going to break half a million in Japan.  If that game can get .5m then Super Mario Party can at least get 1m.

Mario Party 9 entered 28 days before release with 10 points. It end up having 124 points.

Mario Party 10 never entered the pre order charts.
