So Monster Hunter is coming to PS4 Xbox and PC next year and it will be PS4 exclusive in Japan. I have no idea if Japanese will really care about this one?

If DQXI is any indication, it looks like they will.

Japansese Monster Hunter PS4 stream on June 20th. Proper look at the game then and we'll get the feedback of the Japanese then. Unitial comments from Japan seem to be positive though. Delighted to see the series back on Playstation.

Yeah, I have my doubts about Monster Hunter on PS4. I'd love it to sell great, but I'm not sure it will. When is the last time a home console got basically an exclusive Monster Hunter that wasn't a port?

I think it can do well on the PS4, but not expecting anything eartshattering in terms of sales.

However, I seriously doubt it's going to do anything on Xbox

I do believe it's a handheld series first and foremost. I think there is where the biggest group of fans are.

Think the Japanese version is PS4 exclusive.  Monster Hunter tri? so ~8.5 years when its all said and done.  I think that game should be the baseline of how this game will do, that did over a million in Japan, can see the Ps4 version approach it, especially with a bundle.  It'll be a good test.

Monster Hunter won't be as big as the 3DS games but it will probably rival DQ as PS4's biggest Japanese launch this gen
