I'm not going to argue with someone who puts words in my mouth. I never said Japan didn't count.

here the quote I´m refering to.
"Apparently only Japan matters for a game mostly aimed at western markets."
"Sales in the US and Europe will be more telling."
You pretty much tried to deminish the importance of the Japanese market for the Final Fantasy IP. I couldn´t care less if you respond, a reaction isn´t what I´m after.

Still didn't say Japan didn't count. What isn't true about what you quoted I said?
You should read this article if you don't believe FFXV is aimed at western markets:
http://venturebeat.com/2016/06/12/final-fantasy-xv-director-on-keeping-a-japanese-flagship-series-relevant-in-2016/
“However, we can learn from other Western IPs, and we’ve done a lot of research seeing how other Western IP brands have [performed] on a global scale, and what they’ve taken into their games. We decided to take some of those aspects and incorporate it into our development plan and all of our designs.”
“It’s more of the triple-A Western approach: where they release their games, the size of the markets they’re going after, their marketing campaigns, how they go about creating and planning those campaigns, localization support — all of that. That’s really what I’ve been influenced by.”
Just look at the Uncovered Event. 10 years ago it would have been held in Japan but now they think more globally for the Final Fantasy franchise and the event was held in the US and in English. The reveal trailer for FFXV was at E3. Not the Tokyo Game Show. The movie Kingsglaive was animated for lip sync to be in English voices and the art style is more westernized than FFXV.
If you still don't see how FFXV is aimed at western markets and how that might influence its impact in Japan than there's no reason to discuss this any further.
