Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sony fans: How would you react with such a Third-Party treatment?

morenoingrato said:

according to many, we are "guilty" of not supporting WiiU's third party offerings and thus, we don't deserve the good games. Purely hypothetical.

I support quality third party games that put the effort in, just like I did on the Wii. Criterion spent the time to improve Need for Speed Most Wanted fo Wii U, so I bought it.

I don't reward lazy, poor quality ports with my money.

Alright. Let's go into more detail.

PS4 gets a bunch of late ports with no added content at launch. Then, it gets lacklustre ports and no more than complains. Would you buy those old games that are available on other platforms much cheaper?

Be honest with your answers.

You mean the PS3's first year?

That depends... in this circumstance am I a whining prick who only buys one system then complains that said system has no games/ gets crappy ports? Or am I the kind of person that has enough common sense to just buy all the systems at some point that way things like this don't happen?

not even just have the common sense to buy the system that has...games! crazy i know. brand loyalty be damned.

If i do buy a system with no games ill just trade it in for a system with...games! Or just sit and wait until the ports do come out. Ill tell you what i wont do i wont complain on forums while missing out on games i want to make a "point"

Play the games that my system does have because more games come out that are good than i could possibly play and a handful of thirdparties not putting a game on it wont really change anything

It's simple. If third parties produced inferior content for the system then I'll just purchase exclusives with my hard earned money until I see it fit to purchase third party multiplat games. I don't fault Wii U owners for skipping over games that are either sub par or extremely old ports (and in some cases both).

However, a game like COD BO2 on the Wii U is fair game in my opinion. I don't find AC3 is a horrible addition either. I have a few games on PS3 that don't run as smoothly as the X360 versions, but they were good enough to encourage a purchase.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

I would boycott the company exactly like how I'm doing with crapcom.

It was semi soothed by Sony because they eventually made most of the devs make exclusive content for the games that came out late.

Ps3 also had a way for you to make washed up looking ports look better on it.

Wii U is in a different position than the ps3 on the gaming side anyways

I would just simply opt for another system. There wouldn't be a point in sticking with a system that gets inferior version of games and old ports. The majority of my gaming is 3rd party anyways. There are some exclusives that I would miss, but other systems also have great exclusive too.

Assassin's Creed 3 is a decent port, and at present the best evidence that the Wii U's CPU isn't as weak as it's made out; if it really was "three Wii CPUs tied together" it could never run some of the game's busier scenes.

So  far though, the bulk of third party support hasn't done enough to deserve Wii U owners' money. What kind of a message does it send devs if their half-hearted, rushed, and poor quality releases are rewarded with good sales?

@morenoingrato Did you make this thread out of some type of anger and are looking for a possible reason to be mad at Sony fans? Or are you contemplating selling your console for a different one?
