I thought this was already determined. PS+ is a great value for the price you pay.

Not really. It would be better value for the consumers if it's free, Xbox Live should be free too. But that's just my personal opinion from a user who has used "gaming networks" on the PC that have for decades been 100% free to use, ranging from zone/battle.net in the 90's, to Steam, Origin, Impulse, uPlay of today.

It would be an even better value if you get money for every game you download. For example, you download LBP 2 and you get 20$, no PSN credit or bullshit like that, just cash. You'd have thousands of dollars if you were subscribed to it from day one.

The discounts would also be much better. I mean games are discounted, that is nice but when I want to buy a car there are no discounts. Not to mention not everyone want games. My father couldn't care less about games but he'd really be grateful if he gets a car 50% discounted just because I have PS+.

That just sounds like a wonderful idea. Download a game and get paid for it. Permalite would sure join it than as he implied PS Plus should be free. Well let's make it better than free.

@michael Cross game chat is a hardware limitation. Just like MGS4 not being able to come to 360 would be limitation of the dvd disc and not the processing power. I think you know that but just in case you didn't. I know you were trying to make a point there.

In my case it is over 200 games because I'm Plus user since day one.

Same here. My 1TB hard drive is at less than 250gb now.

I'll be getting Sleeping Dogs on Tuesday and maybe platinum it this time (got it at launch but resold after giving up on gold challenges). I'll be glad to have in my permanent collection (yes it will be permanent because I'm staying subscribed with these great deals).

We get Sleeping Dogs on Tuesday? I was just about to play through all the DLC and trade it in. Since I'll have it forever now, I'll just start on something else in my backlog.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

My subscription expired a week or so ago, don't see myself renewing any time soon unless they announce some more great games in the Instant Game Collection. An amazing service when there are games you are interested in, not so much imho when there are not.

Plus, I am hesitant to get another year without knowing how it translates to PS4.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Yeah I know. I can see why it may be valuable to some but it was blown out of proportion. Though it is nice that PS4 will have this feature so people who like it can use it.

I can't believe that Sony or some other company still doesn't use this "download a game and get paid for it." idea. I mean, that would give you 5 billion customers minimum. They'd become the winner of the gen in a second.

For starters. There is no "r" in my name.

And you are blowing my statement out of proportion, competiting platforms offer it for free with free games (Dozens of free games.), yet Xbox Live and PSN lag in that department and don't have the service for free.
Then you have the lack of any decent sales on top, advertising (Which earns more money) etc'.

There is a reason why PC gamers end up broke during a Steam Sale and Valve laughs all the way to the bank.

My problem with it is that you don't actually own the games. You're just borrowed the games from Sony until you decide to stop paying them a monthly fee. I like playing games that I care enough about to have purchased.  I hope they provide other reasons to be involved with playstation plus on PS4.

The free ones, sure.  the ones you pay for (even with huge discounts) remain yours afterwards.
