Again, it's merely a perspective shifting construct, literal analysis kind of misses the point.


If anything, the video to me at least gave me concern with overall bullying. Being bullied was the reason why the character killed herself (assuming she killed herself at the end) - I skimmed through the movie.

I found bullying to be a far worse issue after watching a bit of this film (i.e. children all ganging up, using "breeders", etc).

the character killed herself because of heterophobia. it's the whole point of the movie, an inversion of what's like in our world.

Marriage doesn't belong to the religious. Gay marriages are older than Christian marriages, so if anything churches should have marriage taken away from them.

In order for the film to make a good point it should set-up a world that is believable and does not break suspension of disbelief.  It fails to do this for many reasons.

If you're talking about your hand-holding point before it's nitpicking at best. Yes girls holding hands isn't frowned upon but two boys holding hands is looked down on so the fact that people in that alternate world consider boys and girls holding hands as a sign of being hetero fits perfectly because it mirrors an actual reaction from reality.
