I think our current method of "Hey, want to come over and hang out? We could play Castle Crashers or Blazblue or (various other title)" works fine for me. I prefer human interaction and joking around and excitement when one of us has a new game for us all to try. I honestly wonder if I'll ever be bothered to try online gaming more than I have, nothing about it appeals to me and it is such a hassle. |
I see ... well, if you get your first issue fixed and decide to try online send me a message. These days I enjoy coop more than anything - sometimes more than solo play. Providing you take that step it should take care of the great majority of the subsequent issues. My friends and I discuss titles we intend to get together - brand new or older titles - that way we know what we are getting into together. I had a blast playing GOW:A with my friend (coop missions), and my other buddy and I have been playing PSASBR together for weeks between the hours of 8 PM - 5 AM ish.
I understand your sentiments in the second para. Nothing beats human interaction in the room, but the headsets have sufficed thus far (for me). I think for mp I'd prefer to be in the room. My memories of Smash Bros. and Mario Kart (in the room) keep me from wanting to play them online against friends, but coop I don't mind playing online with a friend.
