I rarely use the term soft drink. I just usually use whatever name the soft drinks is or just drink.
Soda. That is the only logical answer.

Coke - Soda brand

I call it "Soda" even though I live in Oregon which is "Pop" central.

To answer my own question I say Soda because I grew up in California but in Illinois they call it Pop. So I slip and say pop sometimes

Yes actually there is. Some people (mostly from Texas) call everything Coke. When they order it goes like this "I'll like a coke." Waiter: "Okay which one" Customer: "7up"
I always say "Gimme a RC Cola." :D
