well if you want to delve in the past. FFXIII-2 got a perfect score (I love this game, but to argue that it deserves it is a bit silly haha), RE6 got a 39/40. They seem to rate most "good" popular games really high with little differentiation between good, great and classic games. Sources west suffer from this too, but Famitsu's imo the worst I've seen at doing this.

Photokano is a pretty niche otaku game... And Famitsu usually destroys these games with mediocre scores. Although they did like the first one as well, gave it a 9/9/9/8 I believe.

There's a steins gate patch for the Visual Novel.

I love both.

Anime is great. However, part of the game being interesting is being able to choose certain routes (there's 9 different endings). You can't do this in the anime, as it just covers the main one. if you're taling about the manga I'm not sure if it's based on the "true" ending or is like a choose your adventure book.
