If they block used games, i will surely start modding my systems and making sure they dont see a dime more.

Why do that when they released the Creation Kit and you can now grab the unofficial patch made with it that fixes numerous issues?

There will be a MAJOR backlash if both PS4 and 720 block used games. Not from me, however. I will simply be sitting back enjoying my games on 360/Wii U/PC while everybody goes nuts about Sony and MS's newest consoles blocking used games.

Exactly. At most only 2/3 will be blocking used games. I don't think that is enough to get people to accept it. Also this could really boost Wii U sales.
Funny, I keep hearing one user that says Sony and MS are listening closely to what 3rd parties are demanding. I guess they are going to implement this as well according to that user logic.

uhm.. I'm not sure what triggered these responses, as the quotes in the op seem pretty reasonable, although I have to admit that I didn't read the whole interview
I wonder if there is data that shows how many new games are sold because of the trade in deals that companies have so people that can't buy the game new for 60 bones get it for a more affordable price.
Sounds to me like they are just going to cut off their nose to spite their face.
Why is it that the only industry that is this rabid about fighting pre owned sales is the video game industry? Maybe another indicator that current AAA development costs are unsustainable?
If both Microsoft and Sony have used game countermeasures, then this could explain all the 3rd party backlash toward Nintendo, but I think would work out in Nintendo's favor.
All these bad signs in the industry lately, if all the rumors end up being true, I don't like where it is headed.
