As a few tips:

4) Don't crouch.

I am curious about topic 4. Why would that help? any theory?

Crouching makes you move more slowly, and I always find that moving slower than expected triggers motion sickness for me. It was even worse in the original BioShock where you would sway side to side when crouch walking.

I find it's only temporary until I give it a few seconds to get used to it, but I imagine it's more severe in some other people.

I've never gotten motion sickness from a video game except for when I felt sick from playing Half Life 2 because of the motion blur. I turned it off and never had a problem again.

Go play Mirror's Edge, then come back to Bioshock Infinite. By comparison, the motion sickness from Infinite will seem like nothing.

Signature goes here!

I never felt sick to my stomach, but I was getting pretty horrible headaches from playing this game. I got used to it though so they went away once I got towards the end of the game.

it's possible, I've seen others have it with this game.

This game has a ton of different kind of blur in the background. On Pc there's like 3-4 different kinds and DoF, and I disabled all of them. Also this games uses a lot of bloom which can amplify issues with said effects.

This game has the traditional culprits of head bobbing, and on console atleast low Field of View. Which are both known to cause motion sickness in various games for a small amount of people.

All in all this would seem like a game that would be one of the games more likely to cause motion sickness. And since you're playing it on console, I'm not sure what options there are to modify.

When riding the skyhook, there is a lot of head whipping around, which could of been a culprit.  I usually do ok with about all FPS games, so I was suprirsed.  And it wasn't immediate either..  I found that it started to build up, so that struck me as curious.

I used to get this pretty badly, though not very much anymore as I've grown more used to first-person games. I'm not sure why Infinite in particular would trigger it for you.

As a few tips:

1) Try not to play when you're very tired
2) Drink plenty of water before and during your playtime
3) Increase the FOV as far as it will go.
4) Don't crouch.

Tiredness must of did it.  I had gotten off work, and was starting to also get tired.  But I did like the game, so wanted to play on.  It is just, once I hit that state, I am done for awhile, several hours at least.  Was not good when I was trying to get to sleep.
