Why would they push back an announcement if there was no pressure? It seems to me if you are comfortable with what you have, you go ahead with the (rumored) original announcement date.

On the other hand, if you feel changes need to be made, then you are forced to delay your announcement.

E3 2013?  Remember the countdown clock?

Nope.  What's that?

I'm not sure what that has to do with moving the announcement from April to May since E3 is not in May anyway.

They showed that countdown months ago and people including me expect to see/saw the announcement of the nextbox on E3.  This is so far the only official statement we got from MS.  It are others and mostly rumors and so called leaks  that say they will announce it in March because they feel the pressure fo sony...They didn't announced in March so rumors and so called leaks say it will be in April...  And now the rumors and so called leaks say May..  In May they will say it is in June on E3 like the countdown shows?

ms, all you have to do to steal the lime light is show halo 5

One thing people don't take into account, is that Sony and MS know more about what each other are doing than any journalist, blogger or leaked. I'd say, talking big picture stuff, they'd know more about each others larger plans than most companies in possession of devkits from both/each of them. Not that they'd admit it in public, of course, or even at shareholder level - but in private meetings - absolutely.
