Forums - Gaming Discussion - Is the Wii U less powerful than a seventh generation console?

It's not the CPU that's the problem here, the Wii U's not meant to run Gamecube games you idiot!

Look people, who cares about the CPU being slightly underpowered, if the Wii U can pump out great game after great game then it wont matter, too often people like the ones on this forum are too caught up in raw processing power arguements. When will you all get it in your heads that it isn't critical, just look at the Wii's processor compared to the 360 and PS3, it didn't stop the Wii from outselling them.

I fear my point will be forgotten by tomorrow, as people's memories for these things are extremely short, and I'll be posting another comment on yet another processing thread arguement, because the same people feel it necessary to have the same old arguement.

Yes for the moment. But when Nintendo releases their next firmware update it will release the Wii U's hidden potential thus making Sony and Microsoft's next gen consoles seem obsolete in comparison.

You see Nintendo is lulling the competition into a false sense of security and when everyone thinks they are down for the count they will unleash the Powwaaa!

I'm confident Nintendo is just trolling everyone making it seem that the console is so limited :)

If this is directed at me, I was joking. My post was a sarcastic mockery of the cliches anti-Wii U posters use.

What's wrong with Nintendo, don't they like money? Why not make a competent true next gen console?

That's just it.....Nintendo does like money.

Nintendo likes money so much, that they refuse to spend any of it on good R&D and good electronics technology.

That's precisely why the Wii U is underpowered.

True story.

Uhmm yeah, that's actually a better line, I'm going to use it for my next rol thread. Oh wait a minute you are being serious, lol.

Mum, he is wrecking it..............

Wii U is a joke, Apple only sells underpowered and overpriced tech. Everybody knows.

You should have known that in advance. Now deal with it.
