Good for them!

So what are the final numbers like? It's not hard to double the sales on like, one unit sold.

This was last week actually (MH3 release week).

But Lego is coming out this week I think (this coming VGC week I mean)

Also, we have to keep in mind that only UK and France are mentioned here. Not Europe as a whole ;o

well in US Lego was bigger than MH3U, I really hope the same in EU

It's going to need about a 700% increase a week to match its younger brother.

Not a good article at all: Where's the doom, and what's this positive angle?

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Monster Hunter really didn't do that much when you look at units sold but it's still positive news. If a HD remaster of MHTri can contribute with...anything, then more significant titles should be able to get the Wii U from rock bottom to, ehm, a few meters above it at the very least!

In Europe last week 14,505 Wii U's sold, 25,229 units of MH3 sold. Nice rocket.

I don't think Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be as significant for Wii U sales as people think. It didn't do much for Wii U in Japan where that franchise is most popular. Perhaps this is because the game is just an enhanced 3DS + Wii U port of a Wii game from couple years ago.

Make no mistake, the Wii U will have a surge in March, and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will have respectable sales and this is because people got next to nothing new in the December-February time-frame and they are starved for anything.

Now looking at March, those starved Wii U gamers have gotten a bunch of choices and I expect sales success to spread between those games with majority of that success going to Lego City Undercover and Monster Hunter 3.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (eShop & Retail)
Lego City Undercover (eShop & Retail)
Need for Speed - Most Wanted U (eShop & Retail)
Walking Dead - Survival Instinct (Retail)
Runner2 (eShop)
Zen Pinball 2 (eShop)
... and maybe a few others not on my radar.
