Forums - Gaming Discussion - Epic confirms: Unreal Engine 4 is NOT coming to Wii U

And ,once again, let the idiotic flame war begin. I miss games :'(

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

Nindendo fans, good luck with Nintendo exclusives only again.

Is there any other reason to buy Nintendo Consoles?

If Nintendo gets 3rd party games they don't sell and all of the haters laugh and say that the game is on every other platform.

if Nintendo doesn't get 3rd party games, nothing changes and haters laugh and say that the game is not on the Nintendo platform.

It's the exact same cycle.

Something...Something...Games...Something

Honestly this is a big deal

No Unreal Engine 4 support
No Frostbite 3 support

What exactly IS going to be coming out for Wii U other than 1st party software?

Ouch.

It was expected and partially Nintendo's fault to launch a really underpowered console again.
Now only chance for Nintendo garnering 3rd party support without money-hatting is more in-house engines for the next gen software that will make appearance on WiiU since none of UE4 powered games will.
And it seems to be the case, there are already a lot of in-house engines announced, I think we won't see as much UE4 games as UE3 ones. But it's only speculation and guesses. For now it looks like Wii amount of 3rd party support again.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Ha-ha, so funny...

What a childish attitude.

I apologize in advance for my bad english.

" But our goal for Unreal Engine 4 console-wise is next-gen consoles."

Ouch!

The PS5 Exists.

To be blunt, I'd be a bit surprised if the Wii U saw even Wii-levels of support.

Umm... I honestly didn't care about EA or their stupid games or their Frostbite Engine...

...but lack of Unreal Engine 4 support is a BIG deal, I'll be happy with my Nintendo first party software, but this condemns the future of the console regarding third party games... and it's pretty concerning.
